Ellison's First Year!

Our little boy turned one on May 7th. I can't believe he is already a year old. Boy how this year has flown by. We distinctly remember the first day we got to meet our sweet boy and the events that followed his birth. The Lord has brought him a long way. We are so thankful for this first year...for every minute of it...9lbs 9oz baby boy, c-sections, the sleepless nights, the surgeries, changing colostomy bags, being nervous about a new diaper rash, catheters that had to stay in for a week longer...a great baby boy, big bellies, laughter that brightens the worst days, crawling, teething, eating everything under the sun, sleeping all night, bath times, wagon rides, neighborhood walks, talking the baby language, hugs and kisses...the list can go on. I can truly say that this was one of the hardest years of my life, but it was also one of the best. I am so grateful for every blessing that has come with this it. Matthew and I are blessed to have Ellison and look forward to the days ahead with our little boy. Mommy loves you, Daddy loves you, and the Lord loves and has special angels watching over you buddy!!!!

Ellison's Birthday Party!

Let's see how long it takes to destroy this cake.
What are these white dots?

While we opened presents, he just sat so still and calm. I think
I was more excited than he was. Ellison's buddies minus Luke...he had a cold. Thanks Parker
and Madison for helping us celebrate the big ONE!
The infamous giraffe cake that I searched high and low for.
My friend Jessica from work made this one. We patterned the whole party
off of this little giraffe because Ellison sleeps with it every night.
The birthday boy arrived a little late because he
had to take his afternoon nap. Dad did a great job get him dressed
and ready for the big party. I love this outfit because it has the 1st birthday and
the giraffe too.
We had little giraffes everywhere for our decorations.

First Haircut (Pics in Reverse Order So Scroll Down)

The best pic we could get afterward.
This is the new you, big boy!

MaMa has been doing hair since Matthew was little,
so naturally she gave Ellison his first hair cut.
We tried to bribe him with a piece of candy.
He did well, but it was a little tricky.
We had to move fast to get it all done.
Before the haircut...Ellison is wondering what is going on?

May 7th- Ellison's Actual Birthday

On Ellison's birthday, we sang Happy Birthday a hundred times, hugged, cried,
laughed, and thanked God for the past year. We had his party planned for another day but we
gave him our gift...The Cozy Coupe! He loved it and now cries when he has to get out.
Just chillin' in my coupe.

I took him outside early that morning to play. He found the hose pipe...I made the mistake
of turning on the water...he loved the water, but when it was time to go in...
The morning ended with a few tears, but overall his birthday was great!

Vacuum Cleaners and Parties

Luke and Madison turned 1! We helped celebrate their birthday with
Bert, James, Bruce, and Parker.
Here's the best pic I could get of the twins.
They were sooo cute. We are so glad that Ellison will
have such sweet friends. We had a blast at the party...thanks for the invite.

Ellison and friends playing at the party. I caught him blinking...something
his mommy is known for. Ha!

I have never seen a child that LOVES vacuum cleaners, but this big boy
adores them. He will cry if you take it away from him. He's not scared of the noise either.
Playing with his favorite toy!

Working in the Yard & Playing with the cat!

Dad gets a little silly when we work outside!
Ellison just eats rocks.

See Mommy, this is a good rock.I love chasing this cat.

How sweet!

Slack Blogger:) Let's Catch Up!

One pretty day we all went to the small park in Greer.
Ellison REALLY enjoyed the swings!

Go faster Mommy!
