Ellison's Happenings!

Well, Ellison is now 10 months old. Boy, how time has flown by. I can't believe that in 2 more months our baby boy will be ONE! Here are some of the things that he is doing now...crawling all over the place, chases our cat, pulls up on everything, pushes toys/walkers and tries to walk, attempting new foods(bite size fruits, meats, and some vegetables...this is only when I have time to prepare this stuff), laughs at everything, loves bath time, and developing his own personality(stubborn, persistent, but still very loving).
Ellison weighed 20lbs and 15 oz at his last visit and was 29 in long. We are so proud of him for making it through all of his surgeries like a true champ. He's our little miracle boy. We are so thankful for all of the prayers that were sent up for him during each procedure. It is only by the Lord's help that we were able to make it to this point. I'll try to post more later, but right now y computer is getting attacked by the "miracle boy". Love to all! Nicole

A little of this and that

Riding in his wagon at Grandma and Pops
I caught this face on the camera one afternoon while
we were playing.
Another face! He looks like he's going
to attack!
After surgery, Max and Linda Vaughn had
some balloons delivered to our house. Ellison
loved them as always. Thanks Max and Linda!
MaMa gave Ellison this new toy after his surgery.
Another new favorite! Thanks MaMa

Snow a few weeks ago!

Ellison really liked looking out the window at all of the white stuff.
We weren't prepared with all of the snow gear that we needed, but
we made do.
Matthew and the "handsome" boy
Mommy and a tired little Ellison

Crazy Matthew forgot what season we are in!

Catching Up!

This was a couple of months ago, but Ellison not stands
up in his crib. He thinks it is so funny when we come to get him
out.
We use this little hair dryer to dry Ellison off after his bath.
He would really like it to be his toy, but I don't know if that is safe???
Hmm, I have found a new toy! He really likes our
cat now, too bad the cat doesn't love him.
Attack!
One of the best Christmas presents! So much to do
on the farm.

Surgery Updates

Yes, we did have a fantastic Christmas with our little man. He was adorable when he finally figured out the whole present thing. We tried reading the Christmas story on Christmas morning to start a tradition...it was great until Ellison started to put his Bible in his mouth. We'll try again next year. We enjoyed time at all of the grandparents and great grandparents.

After Christmas and New Year's, we had an appointment with Dr. Teague, the urologist. He said we could plan Ellison's next surgery as soon as we were ready so it will be on Feb 8th. It will be at Greenville Memorial again, but hopefully we will get to go home the next day. Ellison will have a catheter for a week or so which will be interesting, but we will manage. We are thankful that Ellison won't have to take hormone shots prior to the surgery...they thought he might earlier on. Now, we are just praying for this next step in our process. We pray he won't experience a lot of pain and that he won't have any complications following the procedure...most common problem is the development of a fistula (hole) in the urethra...would require another surgery. Ellison has done well so far and he is a miracle already. Thank you Lord for our little boy...mommy's little pumpkin and daddy's little bud!

A Night Out

Bruce Lee turned 30 this month so Matthew and I went
to his Decades surprise party. It was loads of fun...laughing at
everyone and their attire. We were Sandy and Danny from
the 50's...Grease. Notice Matthew's white socks...they are mine.:)
The girls

Magnus...supposed to be our dog...
lives with my mom and dad because we don't
have a fence. It was really cold so he got this cute
Clemson sweater. It last for a couple of days...maybe.

More Christmas Updates...a little late:)

He really likes this toy and will even more when he starts walking.
Yes, that is a sippee cup in the corner of this pic...I can't believe he is big enough for a cup now.
Trying out his new toys a couple of days later.

Christmas Night...He was completely worn out at this point.
Ellison playing with his new horse. He loves to feel the soft fur.

Christmas morning at Matthew's mom's house (MaMa).
Mama gave him this new car. He really likes it especially
when Grace Ann pushes
him really fast.

My Uncle David and Melissa gave Ellison this Santa suit.
He looked adorable in it so we had to wash it and wear again on
Christmas day.
