Sky Top

One Friday in September, my mom and I took Ellison to Sky Top Apple Orchard. It was one of the first cooler weekends so I thought it was a great idea. We get there and much to our surprise...it was a lot cooler. Thank goodness we found my great friend, Lindsey, there. She is much more experienced at being a mother so she was prepared and had extra jackets in her car. We were so thankful to have the jackets...even Ellison was thrilled to wear Avery's pink coat. We still had a great time, but we left the apple picking up to the New's. My mom and I just bought pre-picked apples and the YUMMY doughnuts.
After apple picking, we went to the shops in Flatrock. This cute little children's store had rabbits for the kids to look at.
Ellison thought the pumpkins were balls and decided to throw them on the ground.
Thank goodness none of them busted.

Riding the big tractor at the orchard.
Wrapped up in Matt New's jacket. Notice no apples in our buckets.
We did get one pic at the big apple.

Ok, I noticed last week that my very old blog background suddenly disappeared. I have been trying to add a cute new fall background before winter arrives, but every time I try to apply one...it is one big failure. Does anyone out there in the blog world know what I am doing wrong? I follow the directions from the cutest blog on the block. Maybe, I am just a tired mommy and one day when I am well rested I can figure it out. I hope everyone is doing well. I'll post some pictures soon. I know this was a very boring post for those only interested in seeing Ellison pictures. Much love!

Matt Rob Came To Town

Matt Robinson was one of Matthew's roommates at Lee. He has made a special effort
to come down for a visit each year, especially since Ellison was born. We were able to take him
to a Blue Ridge High football game to see Chase play. We also went downtown to hang out.
Matt Rob brought Ellison a gift...his first pair of basketball shoes. See below...they were a little big but we will definitely use them a few years down the road.

Playing in the fountain!

me and my boy

Matthew doesn't really like this pic because he says it
looks like "My two dads"...I thought it was cute. Thanks Matt Rob
for coming down to SC. Bring Amy next time!!!

Happy Birthday Grandma Lila!
Dad's fishing hat is pretty neat!

Isn't he the cutest thing you've ever seen?

Parker and James in a deep discussion!

Lauren was so excited about her cake and sparkle candles!
We had a great time celebrating the big 3-0!

St. Simons Island: Beach Trip 2010

How beautiful!
View from our house...gorgeous!

We tried to get a family photo...you know how everybody gets those
famous beach pics...well this is the best we could get...oh well, next year we
will do better!
There was a pool and little slide near our house so
of course we had to try it out. Ellison loved this slide...he love it so much
that we had to go down it over and over and over!
From our house, we could see big ships going to Brunswick.
Each time they came near the island they sounded a big horn.
We all ran out like little kids every single time.
Ready for a bike ride...the preferred way of transportation on
the island. We enjoyed Uncle Quinn's "epic" bike rides.
We went to an old church on the island...It had beautiful scenery so
we took a few pics...I love this one of Uncle Q and Aunt Amber.
Pops, Ellison, and Grandma
One morning we went for a long walk to several sandbars...Matthew
found 3 hermit crabs...he was so excited because he's never had a hermit crab before.
During the long walk, this sweet boy fell asleep in my mother's arms...
he slept for another 45 mins on the beach...amazing!!!

Just chillin' on the beach!
Water and sand...too cool mommy!

The Lake

Matthew's favorite past time. You know you are a true
fisherman if you buy the banjo minnow from tv ads.
Ellison driving the boat with Uncle Michael.

The whole crew swimming in Lake Keowee.
Grace Ann, Ellison, Me, Matthew, Aunt Dana, and MaMa.

Too cute for words!
